About

Welcome to Searcy Creek Boutique! This is the place to find unique pottery, wreaths, and DIY inspiration for your home. My home workshop is in Liberty, Missouri.

I have been creating with flowers, fabric, and wood since I was a child, and after years of fascination with it, three years ago, I finally dove headfirst into pottery. There is little that brings me more pleasure than to create something beautiful and useful to share with my friends, those known and all still unknown.

Growing up in Oregon, then in the Rocky Mountains in Utah, I spent my youth exploring the woods and mountains that surrounded my home. Now, living in the Midwest, I am inspired by the hardwood forest and meandering creek bed just out my back door.

Being environmentally conscious was a multi-generational attitude in my family, and one of the basic tenets that we lived by was to leave the world a better place than we found it.

But it was as important to us to be as economically conscious as we were environmentally aware, so we found a way to re-purpose almost everything. This has carried over into every part of my life, and I am happiest when creating things that celebrate and preserve our natural world, and inventing ways to be as frugal as I can.

Every product in my shop is handmade, so each piece is unique and original–just like each of you. I hope you will find something that reflects your individual taste and fills your particular needs.

Tina Litster--Creator

am Tina Litster, and Searcy Creek Designs is the byproduct t of my passion to create.

My greatest happiness comes from creating–bringing into existence something that did not exist before.  These include works of art, practical solutions, a beautiful home, and especially, a happy family.

Most of my creation has been a result of a need in my family, and it has brought me satisfaction and drive that I treasure.

This is my Mom and Dad, who instilled in me the courage to try new things, and the confidence that I could do anything, if I was willing to work at it hard enough and long enough.  The phrase “I can’t” wasn’t a part of their lives or vocabulary.  My fearlessness came from them, and I dedicate this website, and any influence it might have, to their influence on me. No Fear!

Wings to fly

Thanks also goes to my husband, Bill.  He has given me the wings to fly.  Without his support, I couldn’t have tried and failed over and over, until I figured things out.  DYI’s save money after the hard work of learning has already been paid for, and Bill never denied my drive to try.

Everything I have been able to accomplish began with fearlessness, inherited from my Mom and Dad, and an environment of support, granted to me by Bill.  Thank you.
